Eladrin / Fey Elf

The Eladrin, or fey elves, once held a presence that spanned both the Feywild and the Mid-Realm, their culture vibrant and influential, often considered larger than life by those who witnessed it. Their society was a harmonious blend of art, magic, and nature, deeply connected to the rhythms of the seasons and the elements.

The Eladrin in the Mid-Realm

In the Mid-Realm, the Eladrin were known for their majestic cities that rose from the landscape like natural formations, crafted with an elegance that only those with a deep understanding of beauty could achieve. Their knowledge of arcane magic was unparalleled, and their seasonal celebrations were said to be so enchanting that even the stars would pause to gaze upon them. However, a crisis (the details of which have been lost to time) led the Eladrin’s withdrawal from the Mid-Realm. They receded into the Feywild, a realm that mirrors the vibrancy and wildness of their spirit, leaving behind only echoes of their legacy in the Mid-Realm.   In the Feywild, the Eladrin continue to thrive, their culture evolving in ways unfathomable to those of the Mid-Realm. They are now a reclusive people, their cities hidden among the ever-shifting landscapes of the fey dimension. The Eladrin who remain are the custodians of their ancient traditions, living embodiments of a culture that once bridged worlds.

  • Wild Hunt: During the Summer, the Eladrin partake in the Wild Hunt, a spirited chase through the Sheywild, demonstrating their agility and communion with the creatures of their realm.
  • Harvest Masque: As Autumn arrives, the Eladrin don masks representing the spirits of the forest and gather for a grand masquerade. This event is a time of storytelling, where tales of the Sheywild and the Mid-Realm are shared and preserved.
  • Long Night’s Vigil: With the onset of Winter, the Eladrin hold a vigil during the longest night, lighting luminous crystals that symbolize the stars. They reflect on the past year and pay homage to the quiet strength of the slumbering earth.
