Zebulon The Fallen Kingdom

One year ago, the Capitol of Zebulon, a thriving port city named Goldport, suddenly vanished, leaving behind nothing but a crater that radiates powerful arcane energy. Well, that and a power vacuum, a shocked populace, and feudal warlord mayhem.   The culprit for the massive attack is currently unknown. There is some speculation that the attackers could be the majority-elven kingdom to the west, but if it were then why haven't they launched any other attacks yet? Another possibility that many suggest is it could have been someone from the Capitol's Wizards Guild... but the guild itself, along with most of the wizards, was obliterated. Even after a year, no one has taken credit for the attack and resources are stretched too thin for an official investigation to have taken place (and even then, by whom?).
