Hatchingdays in the kingdom of the Rising Sun

In the Kingdom of the Rising Sun, children are hatched once every ten years all on the same day. and so, everyone in the kingdom shares a birthday, except the queen. On this day, everyone gets the day off work and the entire city is adorned with beautiful flowers.
Hatching day is a day filled with relaxation, joy, and grief. People in this kingdom live exactly 200 years to the day. Meaning every ten years Hatching day will be a day of mourning those who pass that day and celebrating new hatchlings.
On the other nine, there is much more celebration, it is a tradition to give each of your friends a flower, that they might end their day with a colorful bouquet of flowers to represent all their loved ones in their lives who are glad to have another year with them. They also go out and each plant a pine cone to add a tree to their forest for every year they are on earth.
Finally, the queen puts on a spectacular show which is unforgettable each year. The queen can get into her subject's heads and on the birthday of her people, she sends each of her subjects in their mind for one hour to wherever they love most with whomever they love most in the world for one hour. this of course is a dreamlike state, which is vividly remembered and looked forward to each year.  Some are sent to a place made up by them in their mind with loved ones now and past on.  Others travel somewhere they know peaceful and quiet for an hour.  All who wake are happy.
For those turning 200, they drift off after this dream, hopefully staying in this beautiful trans forever.
