Aranatia

Aranatia is a kingdom which was founded by and is still mostly inhabited by Aranea. It is unusual in that it has a significant tribal population, who are mostly separate from the rest of Aranatian society, but are still subject to the authority of the Aranatian King.

Structure

The Kingdom of Aranatia is a feudal kingdom with four tiers of lordly title. These tiers are, in descending order:

• King/Queen
• Duke/Duchess
• Count/Countess
• Baron/Baroness

There is only one king-tier title in Aranatia. The holder of this title reigns in the capital city and has authority over the entire kingdom. Vassals currently have very little autonomy.
Dukes typically reign in a large city and enforce the monarch's law in their duchy.
Counts typically reign in a city or large town and enforce the monarch's law in their county.
Barons typically reign in a small town or village and enforce the monarch's law in their barony.
