Kingdom of Amarith

Structure

The Kingdom of Amarith is a feudal kingdom with four tiers of lordly title. These tiers are, in descending order:
  • King/Queen
  • Duke/Duchess
  • Count/Countess
  • Baron/Baroness
There is only one king-tier title in Amarith. The holder of this title reigns in the capital city, and has authority over the entire kingdom. Vassals currently have very little autonomy.   Dukes typically reign in a large city, and enforce the monarch's law in their duchy.   Counts typically reign in a city or large town, and enforce the monarch's law in their county.   Barons typically reign in a small town or village, and enforce the monarch's law in their barony.

Public Agenda

Protection of the Kingdom and it's people, development of alchemical technology, and eradication of the Thieves' Guild.

Demography and Population

The majority of inhabitants are Amarithian. Other human ethnicities are accepted, as well as most non-humans, except for dragons and draconians.

Military

The monarch retains a professional army known as the Royal Army. In addition to this, lords typically also retain a professional standing military force. The size, training, and equipment of these forces depend on the preference and resources of an individual lord, but many choose to model their forces on the Royal Army.

Technological Level

Amarith has modern weapons and armor, advanced alchemy, and some basic magic.
