Slavery

Humanity has a long history with slavery and after the events of the first contact war it was believe that the idea and practice of slavery was abolished from human culture as a whole. Though this idea was reintroduced when civilizations colonized asteroids and private companies secured there owns asteroid fields. The idea of sending undesirable criminals to asteroids to work as miners quickly flourished. Though this was clearly slavery in a new form these companies did own the asteroids and in turn the prisoners, and no one for fight for a prisoners rights quickly if at all. Soon however this newly found freedom in space has lead to numerous occasions of people being used as nothing more then tools but in privately owned spaces making the governments either powerless or uncaring of the situation until it was too wide spread in certain areas.
The inner solar system has a firm stance on anti-slavery with the outer system in agreement though with less drive to enforce its law outside of it’s primary stations and planets. As such the asteroid belt and the kuiper belt see the most uses of “slavery”, as many are mini independent nations themselves.
The D.O.L.L.S were included under this scrutiny by the Sol system but was argued by the Lord Admiralty Pact that it was deemed necessary.


Alpha and Beta A.I now have the protection against unwarranted use. Though when Care-takers gain powers like this, many pro human faction believe it won’t be long before humanity is the ones who will be enslaved
