Halfling

Gnomes with the halfling background make great soldiers. The halfling background can indicate special training in combat tactics. The background may also indicate an elven heritage, no innate magic but quick reflexes and a slender form. Some halflings may even be raised among elves or trained with elves.

Background Abilities

Militia Training Gnomes with this background add a blue die to all combat checks that target characters who have a larger silhouette than they do.
Alternate Special Gnomes with this background do not have Magic Adept as a Species ability; instead, they gain Nimble (1 melee and 1 ranged defense).
