Varian Common
Even within a continent as massive as Varia, its denizens can rely on a singular language for general communication, though perhaps molded by the assorted regions. Varian Common originated from a heretofore long language from the First Era, referred to as Ancient Common. This new iteration resulted from the amalgamation of languages experienced by native Varians during the War of the Scourge. Thus, most of the humanoid races on the continent tend to have Varian Common ingratiated into their cultures, even in addition to possibly race-related languages. Millennia of regional development and separation have allowed the language to develop its own identity within those areas, though the baseline has remained so intact as to allow it to remain as the continent's vernacular as a whole.
The universality of Varian Common has been observed to a lesser, yet still similar, effect in the other forms of Common spoken in Zentrem.
