Zha'ravi

The year is 1176 PS, or Post Starfall, in Zha'ravi. The Starfall was a years-long war between the Magi, also known as the Creators, a highly intelligent race with exceptional magical skills, and the Sanctum, a group of eight gods who divided their tasks evenly and together oversee the world. After a long war, the Sanctum sealed the Magi and their world underground, and the new world, Zha'ravi, was founded. Since then, humanity has transitioned to steampunk technology and machinery, building massive cities with it. The Magi have been forgotten over the years and only appear in the oldest archives and the furthest ruins.   Humanity has made incredible technological advances, from airships to weapons, from clockwork robots to clocktowers. Over the years, magic has become increasingly divided; in some parts, it is still studied by interested students, while in other parts, it is banned because of the potential danger it poses to society. The various nations of Zha'ravi are at peace and collaborating due to economic prosperity, especially the four nations in the southeast of the continent, known as the Golden Crossing because of their profitable economic cooperation: Dynalis, Eversea, Sol'khara, and Elysiana, although they are often collectively referred to as Zha'ravi. However, there are whispers of tension.   A few months ago, strange chasms, known as Astral Rifts, started appearing across the continent. Random people began developing magical powers or mutations, and parts of nature started exhibiting alien-like mutations in the Astral Wastes. The nations are trying to find a solution to this problem, but due to the divided nature of their populations, disagreements are emerging among the leaders and factions. Some fear another Starfall, while others want to investigate these new developments and potentially harness their magical power.   Zha'ravi is becoming increasingly fragmented while the underground threat is getting closer. If only there were a group of heroes who could uncover the truth of the situation and save the world. But where do you find one of those...
