Rylene (RYE-leen)
The Firemount
In treacherous moment of peril, or amongst the fierce din of battle, prayers to Rylene are roared into the bedlam. She is the personification of strength, resiliency, and steadfast determination. Created by Arvon to help the mortal races persevere through the most brutal of adversity, Rylene is patron deity of warriors, fighters, and protectors. She lights a fire in the hearts of the Zholmyri peoples and rallies them to fight against evil, injustice, and even death itself. The dwarves of Zholmyr--especially the mountain dwarves--hold a particular reverence for Rylene and have incorporated her tenets of tenacity into the very bedrock of their culture.
The inverse of Rylene is Mara, the god of vulnerability and delicacy. Followers of Mara openly embrace adversity and chastise Rylene for trying to hold back the tides of the soul instead of learning to ebb and flow.
