“I hear you young one” A voice spoke to him from the darkness…
“I can offer you what you seek, and much more” …
“But you must offer me something in return” …
“I have nothing to offer” Morgwen replied.
“Oh, but you do dear one” the soothing, unknown voice from the shadows answered.
“In exchange for your wishes, you must grant me your servitude, and do my bidding when I call”
“You see, I need to feed”
“Feed on the lives of those who are claimed by the hands of my charges”
“Do you accept, dear one?”
“When do we start?” Morgwen replied.
“As soon as you claim your first life in my honor” The words echoing in his mind as the voice faded away…
The next day Morgwen awoke to find a rapier and a fine set of bagpipes beside his bed.
He bid farewell to his mother, and the ladies of the night that had become his family, and set out into the world…
