When they first came, they were few. The soldiers of Darkness were held at bay at the gates of Geddon. Then more, and more, until your people fled through the ancient passageways that the dwarves of Kazur built.
In the commotion of fleeing Geddon, you lost your mother and father, two brothers and your sister. Outside of the under tunnels, you searched for days for them. Looking the board of missing people you saw 100s of other gnomes just like you with their loved ones missing.
Now refugees on the Continent of Orrin, your people had no home, scattered, unwelcome. You joined a troupe of Vistani, a traveling band of entertainers, or Gypsy’s where your knack of magic and study were useful.
The wages were good enough, and at least you weren’t starving. The Urks allowed you to conduct your business to keep the population happy.
