Horus Ashar

Legendary ruler of the Ashadin Empire.
Once the most powerful person on the planet, ruling over the majority of the known world. He was taken down by his own general who stabbed him in the back with a legendary blade created by treacherous nobles and wizards of Nekhen.
His rise to power is a story of legend, a simple orphan from a desert tribe with an unquestioning belief that he was destined for greatness. It was in a protracted and bloody war between Azuracai and the new Asharan Empire that his fall began. With failure not an option for his great destiny he sought out dark and ancient power within the temple cities of the jungle, it granted him the power over life and death.
His victory over the Azuracai was absolute. Temple cities were left silent but for the scampering of jungle beasts. No bodies were left as the dead rose and followed Horus on his campaigns.
With each victory his army of dead grew, and with all this power tied to him and him alone, his rule became more and more tyrannical.
