When the baby is born, it is the father who cuts the umbilical cord and gives the child the name. Most of the time it is a name the couple has agreed on.
Funerary and Memorial customs
When someone dies inside the city or village, there is almost always a Witch doctor present. When the deceased are buried, then it is up to the Witch doctor to cast spells on the body to prevent the uprising of the undead. Or the creation of a poltergeist.
