Old Tritonic Empire

There was once a great Tritonic empire, mostly aquatic but with island and coastal settlements as well. It split up decades ago, and its successor states compete for power. Many Tritons lament how far their civilization has fallen, as they were once united in defending the sea from all that threatens it. The six current successor states, one each ruled by a member of one of the ruling families from which imperial rulers were drawn, are Amphitra, Jaloras, Munara, Rethya, Saya, and Shorath.

Disbandment

The Tritonic empire split into several successor states after a civil war when the Empress, who had no children, suddenly died. Members of the royal family were turned against one another, and other nobles and warlords attempted to take advantage. To make matters worse, raider groups also began to attack, weakening the state further.

Religion

Unlike humans, Tritons follow only Ennera and Zosoa, and consider the latter to be the greater god of the two.
