Loso

Thank you to the fictional person, Steve, for participating in this project with us
And thank you to my real life friend, Kicki, for finding a way to flee the discease.
Large areas of Loso is unpopulated and that is most likely caused by the fact that Loso lies mainly in the mountains with a lot of fouling growth. Further towards the north these mountains becomes hills. It also has a large quantity of ruins left by an old settlement of Lohntpil, that has now died out, because of a famine and shortly after a contagious infection.

Now Steve, what can you tell us about this?
"Uhm...
I am not really an expert. Could I not just go home. It's August and I don't want to miss Christmas."
Oh come on Steve. You can do it.
"Okay then. Well the city... that was there... before, did not have very good arrangements for celebration. The market places were quite small and like most traditional houses built by purple people, it was quite stacked, with proved to be very useful for this type of environment. They would build a lot of one floor into the mountain side, and have the rest outside. You can still see a lot of the lower floors today, and some of them are even inhabited by the Loos, whom if possible like to colour their houses even more valiantly than the purple people. A good thing about the Loos is that they have found a way to hold Thanksgiving... even though I am not quite sure why
they would celebrate it. But I am hopeful that they will soon be able to celebrate Christmas too. And my birthday. My mom wants to go live there, and she hold these very special parites with trampolines."
Yes, thank you, Steve. What Steve was implying when he mentioned their colored houses was that the Lohntpil like to paint little many colored artworks on their buildings, but in Loso they liked it so much that they began painting all of in a horror vacui kind of way, but only with swirls. And they have also made wooden platforms above the original terrain giving them more space between mountains, hills and what-have-you-not. This allows for a much wider roads of passage, witch gives the place a mood lift. However it is unlikely that Steve and his mother will move there, because the Loos are very protective of their land, a close knit community, and historically have accepted very few. When somebody would move to their domain, the Loos would become furious, and chase them out, sparing no efforts. We don't remember where the Loos came from, but they are just as scary as the blue people.
"Uhm... that is not really true..."
Speak up, Steve.
"The Loos came from underground where they had lived for many years. I think it was for around 200 years."
Very intresting, Steve. That was all.

Demographics

The Loos are a very homogenous folk and they aren't very happy to let outsiders into their comunity. There is a few main clans.
The Maris
The Ralm
The Mjal
These three clans drive most of Loso, and their actions have a big impact.

Government

Loso does not have a government, but they do have a way of sharing the work. There are made schedules for a lot of stuff, and if somebody doesn't do their work, their safety in the system is lost. Organised crime is very common in Loso. Most of it comes from the Mjal clan. They employ a hierarchical system to control the weaker members, with no violence, however.

Infrastructure

Walking through Loso smells a bit like the dust from a construction area. In hot sun the people are often outside and enjoying the plant and animal life. It is also a great place to see the sunset. Underneath the wooden plank platforms they walk on they have a variety of sewer systems, that mostly are lead deep into the ground. They are pretty good at not getting the smell up into the city, because that is to the benefit of everybody. Above ground they also have many bridges for walkways, platforms up there. They of course also have stairs up there. In the daytime the area feels safe and relaxing, but at night there aren't many places to hide, and it becomes rather dangerous. In Loso people often move around the area, but never outside, as they don't want to be included in such a place.

Assets

The storages of Loso are some of the largest on Nitayo, and that is because they store a lot more things through the winter than some of the other settlements. They don't trade, not even with their neighbor Sugnar, which they keep at an arms length.

Natural Resources

The mountains of Loso gives them a lot of stone and areas of growth with medicinal herbs and berries. They have goats in the mountains too. They also utilize the soil to plant other types of food and cannabis.
