Northwestern Adyrin Empire

The Adyrin Empire is by far the oldest and arguably the most diverse of all the current nations on Uulek'Dorr. The Empire is spread out across hundreds and hundreds of square miles, across many biomes and a vast assortment of townships and cities. All who live within its borders are protected and live freely without care, for the Murderous Council sees to it. The Murderous Council, while the name sounds macabre and mysterious, the citizens trust them, to the point where they do not challenge directly anything the council decides. While no commonfolk have ever seen them, rumors say that they are a collection of Kenku that apparently speak using their own voices, unlike others of their species. They seem to keep the nation in relative peace, and all the towns, cities, and villages have someone who runs them and has the power to commune with the Murderous Council. At the birth of this civilization, history has it that there was once an ancient civilization that existed there long before. The founders, who were initially the offspring of the survivors of the War of the Damned, took it upon themselves to use what had remained as a basis for a new spark of civilization. Luckily, they discovered past knowledge that guided them in their efforts, and with the use of magic and ancient techniques of craftmanship, the empire grew. The capital, which now sits on the mounds of the old civilization, increased in population very rapidly, as some of the older races (Such as the Dragonborn from the Asrath Peaks) began to settle within the region. Soon, a mixture of dwarves, humans, dragonborn, and gnomes began working together to understand the lessons of the past and develop a thriving nation that would not fall into the wrong hands or repeat past mistakes. Several generations later, towns turned into cities, and expansion grew rapidly, with the capital as the base of operations. These new explorers found strange biomes that were somehow torn apart and yet repaired by strange multiversal affects (Such as the Erith Moors or the Emerald Vale). With this new discovery, more towns were founded on the outskirts of these biomes, and research into them began in earnest. Specifically, around the Emerald Vale (Which is the name of the region owned by the Crystallines), high elf settlers decided to develop cities on the banks of Loch Bloomsburn, hoping to use their presence as a means of studying this strange area. The Empire continued spreading Westward and Northward, expanding all the way to the Grey Depths. With this expansion in these cardinal directions, the explorers moved southward as well, eventually meeting with the Doredian Nation and the Shyvarie Dynasty. Of course, with this expansion came the wanting to gather more land and power. So, wars were fought between these three powerful factions, each with their own desires. After the first war, the Shyvarie Dynasty agreed to stay within the protected realms to the Southwest, and made a treaty to never advance upon the lands of the other two. However, the other two remained at war for many decades, soon leading into centuries. With all of this unrest, the Oligarchy that ruled the Adyrin Empire began to change, as those in power continued to become more corruptable as the empire expanded. Surprisingly, a revolution occured that would oust the original royal families, and this revolution was not run by humans, dwarves, dragonborn, highelves, or any other predictable race, but instead was led by a large family of Kenku who heralded new ideas and brought with them doctrines that could change the foundation of the Empire. After losing the war with the Doredian Nation to the Southeast and the overthrowing of the Royal Oligarchs, the Kenku took possesion of the Capital, and thus the rest of the empire followed suit. Surprisingly, this family of Kenku ruled with a devotion unlike any government official could ever imagine, and now. after centuries of reconstructing the empire, the Murderous Council governs with a newfound concept: peace.
