Ring of Command

The Ring of Command:

The Ring of Command is made of an alloy of Platinum and Copper. It has no further markings, aside from a single etching along the inside. It cannot be seen by the untrained eye, but with magnification, a single symbol of a Dragon can be seen. (DC 20 History Check determines its origin)

Rules
  • The Ring of Command must be especially attuned to only One person. That individual is bound to the rings power, and cannot be withdrawn aside from the removal of the finger and the acceptance of the previous bearer. Once attuned, the wearer will have the power to control an army of Clockwork Soldiers made by The Platinum Dragon Guild.
  • The Army is specifically, at the moment, a total of 3,500 clockwork soldiers. Each of which has statistics displayed at the bottom of this page.
  • The wearer of the Ring of Command may give out basic tasks and commands to the entire collection. The basic commands include: Defend, Attack, Guard, Shut Down, Remain Alert, and Form Battle Wall.
  • Once complicated Commands are given, the wearer will need Willpower in ord
er to maintain concentration on the army. Specifically, the wearer can split the army up to a number of times equal to 2 + Wisdom modifier. Any amount of Split can be done. For example, the wearer could take only 1 Clockwork Soldier and command the other 3,499 to attack. Or vise versa.
  • If the wearer wishes to only take a small amount of the army, then he/she can leave behind the rest. Specifically, the wearer can take up to 10 x Wisdom modifier with them and leave the others Shut Down.
  • The Distance at which you can command them is within a 5 mile radius. If you choose to split them, the farthest group of Clockwork Soldiers will shut down first upon leaving the sphere of command. If you take only a small group ( 10 x Wisdom Modifier), you can have all single individual Clockwork Soldiers be within a 5 Mile Radius of you.
  • As far as commanding them to attack, the wearer will be able to concentrate on specific enemies that the Clockwork Soldiers will see as threats. And the same goes for allies. For example, if there were an entire horde of orcs attacking a small town, the wearer could concentrate on just the Orcs for the Clockwork Soldiers to attack and have the townsfolk be the allies.
  • Lastly when taking only a small group of individuals, the wearer can command each individual Clockwork Soldier to conduct the Simple Tasks as discussed previously. So, the wearer could tell one Soldier to put out a fire, and another to Attack, and another to Protect. However, since this requires a great deal of concentration, you may only be able to split commands up to your wisdom modifier in the small group of Soldiers you have taken.
