Legendary Any School of Magic Requires Attunement

Introduction:

Once attuned to the item, the wielder will gain benefits at every odd level determined by the DM due to the artifact being a Legacy Item. The DM may use the DM's Guide to come up with major or minor beneficial properties, or develop some of their own. Additionally, the wielder may use it’s “alter reality” feature that resembles the powers of wish, but without the detrimental effects. However, it can only be used a number of times equal to the wielder’s intelligence modifier. All uses will be recharged at dawn.
Saving throw DC: 8 + Intelligence Modifier + Proficiency
Spell Attack Roll: Intelligence Modifier + Proficiency

ALTER REALITY:

• 1 charge: The wielder may duplicate or “cast” a spell from 9th level or lower
• 3 charges: The wielder may attempt to alter some portion of time, yet this may (will) have drastic impacts. If the time alteration is specific to one individual, then the target must make an intelligence saving throw or be altered at the wielder’s whim. If the target succeeds, they instead take 10d12 force damage.
• 4 charges: The wielder may attempt to “wish” that something or someone never existed. If the target is a creature, it may attempt a Wisdom/Intelligence saving throw to resist being “deleted” from existence. If the target fails the save, it is ripped from existence and is destroyed forever. Nothing short of a wish spell may bring them back. If the target succeeds, it instead takes 10d10 necrotic damage and gains one level of exhaustion
• All charges: Destroy Demiplane: This ability may only be used if all charges are available. The wiedler may attempt to destroy a demiplane, or some similar level of existence, completely ripping it away from it’s own reality, nay, every reality. To do so, the owner of the Demiplane must make an intelligence saving throw. On a failed save, the demiplane is destroyed and cannot be recreated. On a success, the creator of the Demiplane will suffer 10d10 necrotic damage

History:

The Chronicon is an extremely powerful artifact that was created in the heart of Mechanus, the plane of law. It was designed to right any wrong, to fix any mistake, and to bring balance to the multiverse should good or evil alter the scales. It has traveled from many planes, and was used by many mortals and immortals alike. Most gods fear its use, because of its potential for total destruction. It has traveled from world to world on the material plane, not just Faerun, and was once used to banish a being that existed beyond the laws of the multiverse known as Fyn’olyn. Yet doing so completely separated the artifact into many pieces, each of which was scattered throughout the multiverse. Some worlds received these pieces as comets that fell from the heavens. Others received it as omens from some unknown source (or at least it was believed). However, over time, many beings sought the knowledge and power that this artifact provided, and some even got as far as collecting most of the shattered remains. One such being is known as Asmodeus, who rules the 1st layer of the Hells. He had sought such a mighty gift for its potential to tip the scales in his favor, yet lacked the final piece. The rest of the story of this artifact is yet to be revealed

Personality: (Trixter)

Due to its immense power, the Lawful beings of Mechanus knew that if this artifact fell into the wrong hands, there would be nothing that could stop them from rewriting all of the multiverse. So, they implemented a being known as Trixter, one that could alter or change the minds of its user. It is a very straight-forward being, having no real emotion behind it’s intellect. The being has inherent knowledge of a vast amount of history ranging from planes to worlds of the material plane, and can recall most of what is asked of it.
