Lerubs are large beetles that live deep beneath the sands. There are different types of Lerubs, and they are often difficult to tame. The most common Lerubs found in the cities are Pack Lerubs, used for travelling great distances, and Herc Lerubs, used for warfare.

The Sanctuary of Light is also known as The Golden City due to its reputation as the oldest and most thriving sanctuary in Oasi. Due to its long history of being on the brink of civil war, The Sanctuary of Light is a powder-keg of political, social, and religious unrest that always appears to be one bad day away from imploding.
