Lasting from morning to night, Alucard stayed in her tent all morning, refusing to even come out at Garnet's request to see her. Even Lilim wasn't doing anything better; the poor girl was still outside, mourning over her father if he was actually dead. It's hard for everyone here, especially how everyone was affected by Adam's death.
Sitting alone on top of her young mistress's tent, Garnet is deeply saddened and overwhelmed by the grim event that happened only yesterday.
It was a very difficult time for everyone. It is almost impossible to believe that Adam is dead; how could he even die like that? Why didn't she do anything to prevent this from happening?
She even isn't sure if the pixie dust would actually work on severe injury like that, he would be already dead by the time she got to them and if she would have believe is true, then it was already to late. He isn't coming back, and that is what everyone is thinking—even Lilim and Alucard start to believe so.
Pixies cannot heal wounds and injuries so severe that all they can do is close them or numb the pain for a while, but in such circumstances, even they have limits. While Adam is a seemingly clever and smart man, he is still human at heart, and humans could die if they suffer enough blood loss or severe injury to the point their brain isn't getting enough oxygen. Humans are indeed frail creatures who die easily.
All she can do is pray that her healing powers will work and revive him somehow, but even that sounds like too much hope for her. The pixie dust only temporarily closed small and likely moderate wounds, nothing more than that, and she couldn't do anything to help him. It's hard to believe that he is dead; she's never seen him dead before.
Garnet can hear the hushed tone of Alucard's muffled cries from below, blaming herself for bringing him with her in the first place. Lilim was devastated as well, howling and mourning over his death like her heart had been broken to pieces and nothing could mend it anymore.
And here is Garnet, just sitting here and waiting for something to fix this mess.
Clenching her fists, she is getting more desperate as seconds and then minutes go by, wondering if she should do something about it rather than sit here all day and have time fix itself, whatever that means. Either way, she isn't going to give up that easily for their sake after everything Adam has done to her young mistress.
The pixie is going to repay his compassion and kindness in whatever way she can. If she is going to die trying to bring him back to life, then she is taking the risk of doing it for everyone else's sake. Garnet couldn't stand seeing Lilim crying in front of her; guilt and depression overwhelm her mind, and she has to do something about it, while the mistress is acting like a zombie and avoiding even speaking with her outside.
Flying off her spot, she has to find someone to help with their problem, and when Garnet finds their guy, she is going to offer everything she has to simply bring the man back from the dead. It's going to be difficult for her, but she isn't giving up and will do anything to bring him back, even if it means taking risks with her life.
Though she doesn't know who is going to help them or where he is, she has to find him and hope that whoever their savior is, he is going to be at least generous enough to sympathize with the situation they are in, whether he likes it or not. She is not taking no for an answer and is going to go as far as to convince him to help them no matter what he says.
Flying in the woods at this late hour of the night, she flew through the wind like an eagle, hoping that her target would be out and about. Not only that, but he should be someone who is willing to offer something useful, and only him. This could be their only chance to save Adam from death; there is no turning back, and they are not going to let him die in this state.
Because not only Lilim is suffering, her young mistress is in pain as well. Both girls are grieving for the same reason, and if Adam is gone, they will never see him again. What's worse, there is no telling what will happen to him after he dies, considering how unusual he is when she can't sense anything from him.
Every human and animal has an aura emanating from them, detailing not only their current emotions but the soul inhabiting the body. Adam has none of it, or at least, she isn't able to get a reading from him at all. The most mysterious part of him is how he is still alive despite not having one. This must be some sort of anomaly that will cause people to freak out about it if they understand what she is talking about.
The only reason she isn't freaking out about it is because this very man changed her mistress for the better, and Garnet wouldn't judge him anymore for what he is. While she knows he is human, he might be something entirely different, but she wouldn't care, and he is still the same person to her, regardless of his origins. This man is important to them, especially to Alucard.
Moving faster than before, she is flying at high speeds with all her might, traversing through the air at supersonic speeds, finding anyone to help them even though the chance of succeeding is very slim. Flying from place to place, she only encountered wild animals and birds, nothing of importance.
It is like they are hiding themselves from her, or perhaps they simply don't want to be found by her. The lack of answers she is getting isn't helping at all; she doesn't have time for this and needs to find that person. Maybe it was a bad idea to try and search for him at this time, but she doesn't have time to wait and do nothing.
Continuing her search, she continued to fly through the night, searching for any clue that may indicate someone who can help them, while being very cautious about it as she didn't want to attract unwanted attention. Who knows what would happen if she encountered something dangerous out here? But she isn't afraid anymore.
And with her new determination, she will keep going and hope that the person she is looking for will help them. The first thing that comes to mind is that maybe it was a bad idea to fly near the ground. Not only does the thought of flying through woods and forests not appeal to her, but it is also more dangerous than she thought and there is less visibility around her.
She stopped midway through her flight, staring down at the frosted ground with a conflicted look on her face, deciding if flying way above the forest would give her an edge of more sight and viewing distance to find her target. Considering her options, she is thinking that flying above this forest would be better for her, but considering how cold it is, she wouldn't like to fly around in the cold night.
Snapping her fingers with a sign of approval, Garnet sees this as a more reasonable change of pace, as she has the advantage of searching for the target from above rather than being stuck near the ground. This is going smarter than she thought; the former seemed like a good idea at first, but it is just going to slow her down and freeze her skin as she flies through this cold winter weather.
So with that being said, she is going to fly a little higher and keep going, ascending above the ground while flying in the wind. She isn't going to give up on this; the situation is dire and needs to be solved, or their misery will continue to haunt them until it eats away at their souls. This is going to be a difficult task for her, but it has to be done.
Being exposed high above the forest in this very cold night, she can see the large forest expanding below her, stretching as far as she can see while being illuminated by the glowing moonlight in the night sky. While it's very cold in this spot, she can handle it for a few minutes before she suffers from extreme hypothermia.
Looking around, she tries to sense any aura around this massive forest, stretching kilometers away to never-ending connected forests. It is a beautiful sight to see. She wishes her young mistress was here with her, but she would have to settle for this instead. Even though she would rather be in a warm place right now, she still appreciates the view and being far away from the troubles of her life.
She suddenly sensed an aura that was very far away, possibly from a man or woman; it's hard to tell from this distance. Nevertheless, she is capable of understanding whether one is a person or an animal, though she is only able to pick up their emotions from the aura they are giving off. It may not seem like much, it is better than nothing and helps her determine who is near her and whether they are friends or foes.
This specific energy she sensed is out of this world, far beyond anything she has seen or experienced with her own eyes. It is unlike anything she has seen before, which causes her to feel a little bit worried about it, but she isn't afraid anymore; if anything, she is a little curious to see what they are like. There is no telling what this person is capable of, though she isn't going to give up at this moment.
Releasing a sonic boom from plunging herself through this windy atmosphere, Garnet followed the source, flying as fast as she could to reach it and find the owner of this mysterious aura she was sensing. This person is way ahead of her as they fly from place to place in hopes of finding someone who can help them.
In her hopeful mind, the pixie has a fifty percent chance that this might not be a person but a different creature altogether; however, she is willing to take that risk, as she has always reminded herself to. The aura is very far away, which means whoever it is, they are capable of traveling long distances without tiring out.
After a long while, she eventually found the source or this specific person she had sensed from a few kilometers away. Despite being way above the forest, Garnet could see a large clearing with no trees in sight in that peculiar area, where a strange humanoid creature was observing his surroundings, almost as if he were searching for something.
Taking a moment to observe him carefully, she immediately understood that regardless of what it is, he seems intelligent enough to start a conversation with someone like her, though she has to remember not to judge a book by its cover as she might not understand what he is capable of. Flying closer to the ground in an attempt to hide herself from him, she decided to keep a safe distance between them until she could figure out what he was up to.
But she realized that there is no point in hiding anymore. The longer she waits, the more time Garnet wastes selfishly saving her own skin because of the gloomy potential threat that may arise if she decides to approach him, which will result in her only failing the very people she loves by forcing herself to confront him one on one.
Approaching him from behind while her butterfly wings flap at high speed, she immediately exposed herself when she exited her spot, and the loud sounds of her buzzing wings alerted him, causing this person to spin in motion with a firearm at hand, aiming directly at her in a threatening manner. Causing her to tense up and freeze in place as she looked at him with a surprised expression.
"Speak your name!"
