Session X: Baltron's Beacon - Part I - The old man, the old lizard, the bridge and the Gatehouse Report

General Summary

The party meets up with Yiss the Old, Lizardking of the Hool Marsh Protectorate and his friend and old Pan Lung Dragon. The party convince Yiss to keep his tribe at bay, they are not a threat to the lizardfolk of the marsh, and they are friendly to the lizardfolk. They tell of their deal with Othokent, Queen of the lizarfolk lair.
  King Yiss allows the party passage through the swamp, but tells them do not disturb their god in the light.   The party continues through the swamp following the light and come across a road leading directly to the light. The party begins crossing the bridge and are ambushed by a group of trolls. The party loses one of their hirelings Morcarak.   The party arrives at the gatehouse to Baltron's Beacon.   Irval introduces the party to his boss Antarcus Giantbane. Antarcus tells the party that he is willing to help them against his boss Leptor in the keep who hasn't paid his team in some time.   The party agrees to assist Antarcus, but little did they know that, although Antarcus was telling the truth about not being paid, he was more than willing to rob the party with his team of mercenaries and deal with Leptor later. The party is ambushed in the gatehouse.
