Session II - They call it a mine! Report
General Summary
A day in the life of Hail "I could sell sand to the tridents" McHaven Day of Rovarian Revelation Hale as usual awoke with purpose but today his purpose was not barely financial. Today he had a new purpose Ilwater. The god of lights and crystals, and money. Well ok maybe it is financial. The ability to grow crystals could be just the sort thing I need to overcome this mild rut I have been in for well as long as I can remember. Today started like any other with the group all gathered together for a hearty meal. After which we head into Uxton to observe a feast that Cat had foolishly paid for using his own money for some reason. Tha'l starts frightening the locals with a terrifying story of the fairy people scaring some of the local children so Hail heroicly uses his immense magical powers to create fun fireworks and turns one of the chlidrens screams into laughter. Why am I always cleaning up this groups messes. After this fiasco the party heads up to Uxton Manor and has a meeting with Lady Uxton aka Lady Bue. The meeting was interesting, there was silver everywhere. Definately somewhere worth returning to. Cat and Lady Uxton talk for a short while regarding the mine and for some reason agrees to enter the mine and once again put my bag of crystals into harms way for almost no reward. After a short walk we arrive at the mine entrance. Great underground again, my favourite. After entering the mine we find NO SILVER! The further we walked into the mine Hail is growing more upset at the lack of silver. I mean why are we even here? The rest of the group are more interested in the red ooze covering the walls and ceiling of the mine for some reason. After a short investigation of the ooze and the lack of silver we are under attack. The meat shields run forwards towards the danger which seems like a bad idea Zavidar is attacked by a strange looking blood like ooze creature and takes heavy damage which is healed by the almighty Ilwater but he goes straight back down again. Clearly Ilwaters healing powers are not as powerful as his crystal generating abilities. All praise the god of crystals. Combat continues and the group is looking worse for wear, Ilwater cannot hold back this storm himself this situation requires bardic healing so Hail uses his immense power to heal the group with a healing spell that would put the worlds greatest clerics to shame. After the group is healed almost to full battle continues. A second ooze spawns and attacks the party. The situation is now looking extremely dire. Dire circumstances call for desperate measures so Hail steps forward clutching the pipes of doom and blasts the first ooze killing it instantly. That was easy, what are these guys messing about at with all their fancy weapons and armor if it does not actually do anything in combat. Thankfully Hail was here to once again save the day. The second ooze still going strong and causing a lot of pain to several party members finally starts to weaken and is finished off by a mighty blow of necrotic damage by Xulus. Thank god for Bardic Inspiration or that might never of ended.
