Episode 64 - The Dark Apprentice

General Summary

• Matan'sa recognized the chakram in Rooker's possession as Spiritbreaker. He admitted to having helped Khaylin create the weapon. In a flash, he disappeared and entered the pocket dimension within it.
• The Guardians pursued. They entered the Inn that always awaited them. Rha’gi, the guide within the discblade, told them the angry man went through one of the portals downstairs. The party gave chase.
• A lava-filled cavern awaited them. They followed a path and was met by a spirit of the chakram - the fallen soul of Alyuin Krisire, a former member of the Guardians who had been slain within the chakra. She had become a Crucifixion Spirit and attacked the party. Godric was finally able to put her soul to rest.
• At the end of the path was a fortification of sorts. In the center was a column of fire. Within the column bobbed a black bastard sword with purple runes etched into it - the Claw of Tharzduun. Matan'sa stood before it and tried to reach it.
• During the battle, Telith grabbed the blade and pulled it from the flames. He fell to the ground.
• The others dispatched Matan'sa.
• Telith tried to stand but the world swirled around him. He found himself unable to stand. He shook his head to clear his mind. Looking around, Telith discovered he was no longer inside the chakram. He appeared to be in the Boneyard of Pharasma. Above him, a giant moon with a skeletal face shone down. But that was no moon. Groetus, God of the End Times, looked down at Telith.
