Session 18: The Capital Report

General Summary

The party arrived at Oldbank after having a few more conversations with the pirates on board The Howling Banshee. Capt. V, Sartari and Inky all headed into White Haven as well though they didn't travel with the party. Cpt. V told them she would be at The Forked Tongue if they still needed her assistance in contacting The Brotherhood. The group split up and ran a few different errands. Thalos and Old Grey went to me an old "friend" of Thalos; a very old goblin named Gring. He resupplied Thalos with recorders and even got Old Grey to buy some ocarina's off him. The group put all their money in the bank, Rynrielle had some letters sent back to the Monastery and Talen and Cloud went to find a decent bar for the evening after Cloud unsuccesfully searched for a bakery. The whole group eventually ended up at The Metal Flame Tavern and Forge. Ryn and Cloud had another drinking contest, Talen gambled with some locals and Old Grey hired Vemi, the bar tender and blacksmith, to work on his oversized mace. Still not waning to call it a night, the group set out to find a fighting pit. The Laughing Goblin tavern was just the place and Rynrielle was put up against another monk. He easily defeated her. His next opponent looked a lot beefier and tougher than the monk. After a close battle, Rynrielle was defeated by Utmug, a human barbarian. All told, the group walked away in the black, earning money off of Ryn's eariler victory. The group made their way back to The Metal Flame and bunked down for the night.   The group has more errands to run, and a kidnapped girl to find. But what else do the cramped streets of White Haven have in store for our adventurers?
