Session 35: Monsters in the Deep Report

General Summary

When we last left our adventurers…   The group had snuck up to a large group of Kuo-Toa worshipping a symbol of the aboleth they knew to be somewhere deeper in the caves. They attacked, and with surprise on their side, the party took out all of the worshippers and their priest. The group continued to move forward and found a skeleton of a merfolk with a fine gold chain belt. Thalos took the belt and the party moved forward through the cave system. They found themselves back where they started and so turned around and found a different path. They found a larger room with a number of other Kuo-toa in it, made up of mostly children. The group backed away and continued on deeper into the caves, eventually coming upon two large trolls guarding a tunnel leading even deeper. After a fight, in which some brain power was needed to determine that the trolls needed to take both fire and cold damage to not regenerate, the party made their way through the tunnel. Waiting at the other end was a large creature out of some nightmare. It floated in a large pool of water in the middle of a massive cavern with other smaller pools of water throughout. Talen was asked why he hadn’t come alone and the party moved into attack.                                               Will the party prevail against this ancient creature or will they fall short in their endeavours?
