Session 29: Between a Worm and a Gnoll Place Report

General Summary

When we last left our adventurers…   The party returned to Wold and started making plans of how they wished to travel as well as some additional shopping in town. Cloud picked up some poison for her arrows, and the group purchased a number of healing potions. Additional magical items were also purchased but a few members of the group, most notably Emeril’s Everlasting Spice Pouch. The group decided to follow Fade’s advice and cut their travel time in half buy travelling across the wilderness towards Marrowstone instead of following the road. Fade promised that he had a way for them to get across the river. The group sold their horses and the cart and set off out into the plains. Days passed and the group started to notice that some gnolls seemed to be following them. They would hear them at night and they were slowly moving closer to the group. Most everyone didn’t think that the gnolls would offer up much of a challenge and so they continue to move forward. During these days, they learned more about Maalo and a bit about her past as a soldier and mercenary. Currently in between jobs, it seemed like a natural fit for her to journey with the group. She cracked one of Thalos recorders and learned about about why Old Grey was in Talinor as well. Imoen finally woke up and the next day the gnolls decided to attack. In the middle of the battle, a gargantuan purple worm erupted from the side of a hill.   Will the party stand and fight the new enemy or will they run?
