As up high, so below Report

General Summary

Trapped in a weird dreamscape, the fellowship finds themselves both in familiar and strange environment. The strange metal room once visited before ins secret by Helene and Alyia in person, now haunted by the spectral projections of the full party. Not choking from lack of air, an improvement surely, but their spectral forms present a challenge too; for all they can do is observe. And that is what the purpose of this vision is, as most visions, certainly. But where most visions are thick whit metafor and symbolic layers, this vision lacks the symbolic richness and layered story elements so typical for prophecies and faerytales. No, this is different, more akin to a recording of what occurred here, brutal in its details. Stripped of the romanticism that cakes these fables and legends as a patina, obscuring the harsh reality that underpins them.   Whatever it is, its unfiltered and above else, unchangeable.   And so the fellowship does what it can do; observe. Standing powerless witness to the frenzied activities of whatever people consider this metal tomb their home while they try to wrest control back from the automatic systems that have shielded them from reaching some important place. They soon grow desperate and the fellowship can do naught but observe as the scale of what they are observing is revealed. The world from up high is seen on the strange windows and screens, untouched by the aetherstorms, barely recognizably pristine.   But that is about to change, for it has already changed, as it is above else unchangeable.   But still the crew tries something, a last escape towards their homeworld. To the embrace of mother earth they escaped to fly on their own strength, back to their birthright. But whatever threat they seek to stop or warn those back on the planet surface from, it knows of their plan. Desperation and soon thereafter bloodshed and death sets in as the remaining crew are butchered by their own creation, custodians rendered obsolete and discarded. The last two officers on the deck see the plans of their enemy change, responding to their desperate gambit. And so they try one last thing, courting death so that there may be life. A last stand, a desperate sacrifice to save everything they ever knew.   But even that is of no consequence, the world will end and that is unchangeable.   Back on the world that should have been destroyed, something has changed though. Something small. A thought, an idea. An invitation to be better, inside the soul of a feline that believed he was outside of redemption.   Saruuk, a predatory bird by nature, strikes when her prey is at its weakest. Without hesitation and without mercy, bjarn is talked into accepting a patrons necklace.   With unnatural ability he leads them to the place where he feared to go. A place where the trolls had met their end. A strange cave with still water, but no bodies in sight. Which begs the question. Where are the bodies?
