Here is hoping they don't drag everyone down with them.
The foreboding red cloak found at the bottom of a mushroom filled pit did indeed belong to one of the Jaegers. Without a body in sight and a thick layer of mushrooms coating where perhaps a corpse could have found its final resting place at the bottom of the pit, it seems a forgone conclusion. The nodes of denser fungal growth each are a grave. A sobering thought that serves as a dark omen for the next discovery of the fellowship; a mass grave of exquisite natural beauty. Akin to a burial mound of old, overgrown with magnificent mushrooms and lichen, feasting on the remains of a slaughter. From the massacre of what must have been the druid coven responsible for the oppression of the trolls now sprouts a pure and untamed grove. The individuals of the fellowship each have their own thoughts about the sights before them, but whatever they feel, it is nothing compared to their guide Bjarn. Close to what could be considered a mental breakdown, finally, the combined words of the party break the tough outer layer of his feigned nonchalance. The curse upon him was no accident, but a lesson to be learned. He was the guide of the druids, that much the close-mouthed cat has admitted, but was their death and his failure as a guide enough to gather the full attention of the one-eyed god? No, it was cowardice and inaction, and thus the opposite is required to force the matter. Enacting a ritual of absolution and using the artifact from which the fellowship derives its name, they take the first steps towards absolution. Into... a familiar... sight? For some at least. The eerie empty metal halls and corridors that Helene once before visited, but this time in spectral form. What is this place is, however, remains a mystery. Let no-one every say the path to redemption is straightforward.
Exploring deeper in the cave complex, what will the fellowship find?
The fellowship seeks to find answers to what has happened to the food supply in troll rock.
Searching for the reason the foodsupply in poisson village has ended, the party finally head to troll rock
With the dragon turtle defeated, the fellowship of the star must decide what their next course of action is going to be.
Finally entering the great hall of the illustrious monarchs of In memoriam, the fellowship can hopefully get the answers they are looking for and enter the pre-aether spire.
Having received the permission of the court to visit their monarch, the fellowship prepares to meet them.
In memoriam hides many secrets, and so the fellowship explores them, hoping to unravel the enigma of the undead. From what came their sudden rise to prominence, and what drives them onward?
Having captured the hnourable undead general, the fellowship is led to the leaders of this undead nation, which some of the group are starting to believe are old familiar faces. Could this "king of dusk " and "queen of dawn" really be the same individuals as the small undead children they saved such a long time ago? Certainly the stronghold of the undead nation holds questions and answers alike.
Upon leaving shadowright, one of the captains of the moshabarian second offers the group to guide them to the sinking palace, should they ever accept the invitation, expressing his gratitude for helping him and the rest of his regiment. Leaving another group of the moshabarian first, under the leadership of Maisy Grant to protect their umbra keeled ship the cutthroat, the group departs upon their much smaller vessel, the leech. With a short stop in caravellos folley, the group picks up Helenas niece, Maja Falk, and her companion Sverir Heimirsson before pressing further into the depths of melaina marshes. Ninianes otter companion shows itself from a whole new side, carrying a strange new necklace and having newfound understanding of its own existence. Revealing that she is much older than most, if not all of the earthborn lore on the subject suggests. Calling herself a "Patron", she suggests that a stack of other necklaces she carries should be delivered to others like her.
The last preparations are to be made for the Council of captains meeting. Can this political meeting bring the much-desired peace in shadowright?
And as the strange dream ends, what will the fellowship find, in this brave new world?
And there you have it. The truth. It's like having a monster under your bed. As a child you believe it exists, but when the morning finally comes, one day older than when we went to sleep, what is left of it but the impression it left in our mind. Hollow and insubstantial, nothing but a child's naive folly. But some of us never stop believing and some of us pierce that veil. Get up on the stage and peek behind the curtains, curious to a fault is Ashton. Not because they like what they see, oh no. Ask our doctor Lara that, if the truth has set her free. Five questions, a peak behind the curtain if ever I saw it. But behind the great sacrifice of the Martyr lies the regret of failure, of not giving enough. Changing the world and falling short. For some the wheel of fate turns and turns, and all that has happened before shall happen again. To John, walking the neverending path of the hunt, hurting and painfull, wondering if the suffering can this time change the irrevocable outcome. Helene then, on the path of Lovers who find each other yet again far above the ground, gazing at each other and the hidden stars. Or perhaps this story is about those like Haldane, who choose themselves, getting used to the stage and their role on it. Its a good life after all, a bar of your own and all of the ill-gotten gains pilfered from a world of smoke and shadows. But in the end, isn't it all about faith? Broken and shattered under the uncaring boot of a doomed city. She does that to those that still believe, our beloved shadowright. Its all a show, never forget, makebelief. And the curtain must fall. After all, that's what it'
This night started out like a bad joke with a worse pun. A sign of the times I guess. Trust me, this is not a joke you want me to tell. You sure? Fine, have it your way then. A judge, a bishop and a CEO walk into Haldanes bar, the CEO says, I wanted to make a nice investment, but then they just died! The judge says not to worry, its just a matter of paperwork to bring someone back from the dead, no problem for a dear friend. The bishop just shakes his head "Money or corruption wont bring back divinity, look at me!" they all laugh. Nothing funny about that, nothing at all. But at least the pokerplayers laughed, and it is their night after all. Then again, that's what every gambler thinks at the start of the night. This city just chews them up and spits them out. They all should've gotten up and left while they could, but here they are playing their parts. All the worlds but a stage, and shadowright it cheap knockoff. Hope you like the show tonight.
After going to sleep, the fellowship woke up... or did they? One of the last people to speak with dame Ammee before her tragic fatal performance. Aided by her trusty intern Yara.
What follows next after having twarted an attack on the poisoned princess? And why exactly is one of the squadrons of the moshabarian first suddenly allied with one of their former enemies? And what caused the explosion that took out the hideout of impostors that pretended to be the moshabarian first?
Attending the festive opening of the social season in moshabar, hosted by Captain Marion Noire, the fellowship has managed to secure the political backing from Marion Noire. Just as the negotiations have come to an end and the newly minted captain of the Cutthroat and the veteran captain of the Forgotten gambit shake hands to formalize the deal, explosions are heard over the dockside.
A grand feast is organized on the forgotten Gambit, and since its captain, Marion "Devils grin" Noire is the first captain on the list of councilmembers to be persuaded, the fellowship decides to accept her invitation and attend the festivities.
Seeking to sway the council of captains in their favor, the party sets out to investigate which of them are the most likely to be persuaded.
Some questions are not so easy to answer, and having sensed that some part of the great mystery surrounding the plague that is ravaging moshabar is nearby the fellowship is anxious to find the truth.
Wrapping up their research near the frozen body of the ancient dragon, the fellowship decides that no further investigation here is directly required. But these are dangerous lands, and traveling them is not without its perril.
Observing that the strange mist that attacked a ruinrunners dreams, the fellowship of the desert star has decided to investigate this strange phenomenon, suspecting that the mist and the strange disease that plagues Moshabar are perhaps linked to each other. Heavy snowstorms have wreaked havoc in the area where their search takes place, the very reason they took shelter in the cave in the first place. And what of the lizard-like creature they encountered?
having finally found the survivors of the second expedition, yet another surprise awaits the group in the form of yet another vault door, surely from before the aether storm.
Being forced to take shelter from a massive snowstorm, the group has found a cave which should offer them protection from the elements. But they weren't the first to take shelter there, the ruinrunners that served as guides for the second expedition left several markers along their path with cryptic instructions and vague hints. What drove them inside this cave and who left behind the deadly traps?
