By fire and acid Report
General Summary
The terse negotiations between the trolls and the fellowship seem to be going somewhere, after a difficult start. The situation however, seems not so easy to resolve. With their old acquaintance Einar Ingvarsir effectively under siege by the trolls that have him and his fellow rangers surrounded, his plight is obvious. The trolls demand justice for the misdeeds of the Trollhunters; a group of elite rangers whose sole purpose is to hunt and subjugate wild trolls. But even after the awakening of the trolls, it seems these fanatics have grown even more determined to complete their mission, sparing no cruelty. The trolls on their part are equally determined to see justice enacted, and have lumped Einar in the same category as the trollhunters. On top of that, they fear a wizard that has also entranced himself in the tower, who has destroyed a building next to the tower in an onslaught of magical energy. With the negotiations growing increasingly strained, the troll hunters let loose a volley of arrows on the trolls who now have their backs turned on the Jaegers. Though as they are, the trolls out in the open bear the full brunt of the attacks made by the veteran hunters and in the anger and confusion of the battlefield the wild trolls lose their strenuous control and fly into a feral rage. Nearly taking down Junayed, the clever use of illusionary magic by Helene turns the tide, getting some sanity back into the whole situation. With combined forces, the fellowship manages to assault the tower, only to be met by yet another set of old friends. The same group they had encountered before in the ice caves near the sleeping ancient dragon, now found themselves in comparable peril, entrenched in a crumbling tower surrounded by trolls. Pressing onwards and convincing the assaulting trolls to leave the adventurers be, the rooftop was cleared with savage and brutal efficiency by the trolls and the fellowship. Trying reason yet again, the strange behavior of Einar Ingvarsir became even worse, shaking from pain and fear, he was finally convinced to drop his weapons. Under his clothes he was revealed to wear a troll collar as a belt, clearly placing him under a comparable compulsion as placed on the trolls. This at least, was enough to convince the trolls to change their mind, instantly viewing him as a fellow slave. After his collar was removed, the fellowship joined downstairs to discuss the strange route everyone took to arrive here.
