The story of Alloy begins with him making his way to the US aboard a merchant ship called, the US Wanderer -- an ironically named ship.
Once aboard the ship, Alloy uses his time on the night shift to test out his powers but is almost noticed when lifting shipping containers makes noise.
Though the trip is otherwise uneventful, several days from their destination at NYC, the ship anchors off the coast of an island. Alloy surmises it is Bermuda. But quickly, a submersed facility rises from the water -- with military forces threating to board the ship.
Alloy changes shape and shrinks in size. Once aboard, the "Faceless Fighters" from LFER attempt to overtake the ship but Alloy outmatches them -- exuding noxious fumes and knocking them all unconscious.
One of the LFER Faceless Fighters makes his way to the bridge, attempting to complete the 'transaction' with the captain that would hand-over the ship to LFER. But Alloy stops that from happening. The captain made a deal with LFER without telling his crew? He endangered all of their lives!?!
After destroying the military vehicles and helicopters on the LFER facility, he commanders the ship -- heading toward the proper and intended destination...into the sunset, two days away from NYC.
