Wild Things In the West: Part 2 Report
General Summary
Continuing from their victory against human centipedes underground, REA Team 5 trudged forward in their mission to clear the remainder of the bunker. Eightball decided to grab the large "two-faced" monster and hold him tightly. No matter how hard the behemoth of a man/mutant tried, he wasn't able to break-free from Eightball's grasp. And so, with few other options that wouldn't empower the energy-absorbing creature, Eightball decided to drown the mutant in a large container of kerosene. It took a while, and the mutant thrashed and fought against him furiously, but for naught.
Meanwhile, Ange showed up. The fifth member of their REA Team, she was late to the mission but quickly moved into the security/operations room located by Axiom. At first, Axiom searched the papers in the room, locating many redacted reports about the Vanishing Wars from many years ago. Then, together they searched for footage of what happened to cause the mutations in the staff of the bunker. Scanning the video footage, Ange noticed gas entering the facility via the underground ventilation fan. Axiom peered through the walls and examined the fans and air-shaft, locating three canisters in the duct with the company logo, "Omnicron" on them. With a quick internet search, Ange identified them as a typical munitions and supply company for military forces. While Eightball continued to drown the mutant two-face, the other heroes on REA Team 5 moved downstairs toward other energy readings: Ange located a room with a medium energy level, but discovered no sign of mutants. Looking further, she discovered that a door that once was barricaded had been opened -- with a long tunnel leading further than she could see. The team decided not to venture into the tunnel, preferring to fulfill their immediate mission first. When Eightball had finally finished drowning the mutant upstairs, he joined the team in the stairwell. They stealthily ventured forward and so another large mutant in the room ahead of them, standing over a deceased IERA Agent. At that moment, Ange unleashed a powerful attack on the creature, causing it to roar and turn around quickly to face them. What stood before them looked like a human version of a Venus Fly Trap: Will the team survive this encounter with mutated nature? Or will they attempt to drown the mutant-plant creature? Find out next time. You can watch the video of the session here:Rewards Granted
