S2: To smell a rat Report
General Summary
The party goes to visit a farm in Blusheaf where the owner is looking for help with a rat-problem. They meet another farmer on the way searching for a new farmhand, since his has gone missing a while back. They agree to inform if they find something relating to the missing farmhand and will be notified should any mail adressed to the person show up again. After receiving more information on the rat-commission, they discover a covered up dirt cellar in the barn occupied by rats and a Wererat. After a short scuffle with some rats, they find another room with makeshift furniture, a dead Eidefir and some equipment. After a short exchange with the Wererat that was hiding in the dark, they fought it and won without getting bit. The wererat fit the description of the missing farmhand, and a letter dropped off shortly after confirmed their name. Aside from the letter, they found a journal page, some finer clothing, medicine and coin. The party concluded that this was the source of the problem mentioned in the commission. They are rewarded for their work and offered to use a guest room in the house freely. After a rest, they visit the guard barracks to inform them about the bodies, ask them to help the farmer clean up, and to share the letter and journal page they found. The guard offer help in exchange for a fee. The Imperial Guard might want them to help out more now that they've shown themselves capable, the party informs the guard that they can be reached via the farm if needed.
