Session 19: Carlsbad Caverns The Dragon's Lair LIVE!!!! Report

General Summary

While researching in the car, Quinn and Peter begin to put some different things together.  The Cult of Kronos had the desire to free Kronos from Tartarus.  Supposedly the entire cult was slaughtered in the most recent battle between the cult members and other demigods.  The Cult of Kronos was known for searching for different artifacts, specifically searching for the Scroll of Charon which Peter and Quinn had found in the cryptex.   They learned that during the last battle a child of Aries with similar abilities to Peter was a member of the Cult of Kronos.  In terms of Haven, there was no open rebellion against the Olympian Gods, but some cabins seemed more inclined to support Kronos than others.  This lead to a great amount of tension within Haven.  It became known that Kronos would communicate with demigods through their dreams, persuading them to help him.   While no symbols of Veritas were found in the books, Peter and Quinn began to question if Veritas could be the new Cult of Kronos.  They did find the location of the cult's headquarters was Carlsbad Caverns.   On the way to Carlsbad, Peter and Quinn called Haven to see how everyone was doing.  They received word that there was turmoil within Haven.  People were still mad at Zeus, but being unable to direct their anger at him, began to take out their frustrations on eachother.   Upon arriving at Carlsbad, Peter, Quinn, Jessica, Hazel, Seth, John, and Valerie found that all of the elevators had long lines of people waiting to be taken down into the caverns except one.  That elevator had an attendant at it who was trying to get everyone's attention to tell them that they could enter the caverns if they would just use his elevator.  He seemed confused that no one seemed to notice him.  The group walked over and saw a scythe, the symbol of Kronos, on the side of the elevator.  The attendant was very excited to finally have a group to take into the caverns.  However, upon entering the elevator, the cable snapped, and the elevator plummeted to the ground.   Upon entering the caverns after surviving the fall, the group encountered several monsters, including a young dragon!  They were able to defeat the monsters and decided to investigate the caverns for clues.
