Quinn Quade - Wild Magic Sorcerer
 
Age: 19 - late enough to not be a child but young enough to be discovering this information/just coming into your powers. Quinn is a woman. Physical characteristics - young, fit, girl. Slender with a little bit of tone. Shoulder length dark hair. Weird subtle physical thing - tattoo suddenly appeared one night and she wasn’t sure what happened. Unassuming, girl-next-door look. Wears a lot of jeans and white t-shirt with a green army jacket overtop. Paint-splattered combat boots.
Graduated high school and did very well. She worked very hard at it and was in top 8%. Got along very well with a lot of people. She wasn’t like prom queen but also wasn’t an outcast. She is very good at fitting into different cliques with ease.
 
She is taking a year off before college. She wants to go to college but doesn't know what she wants to do. She is interested in pursuing art (painting) or astronomy but isn’t sure which. She would pursue painting but is concerned for two reasons. First, she doesn’t want doing art as a career to affect her passion for it. Second, she is concerned about her financial stability.
 
Working as the receptionist at a spa as she needs a bit of calm in her life as it always feels a little crazy. Rebelling against the wild streak she doesn't know is inside of her. She is trying to do a good job, but every few days something seems to happen that causes a bit of chaos. Not super tied to her job, so she isn’t super tied to needing to continue working there, but nothing affecting her resume.
 
Lives in San Francisco. Definitely a city-girl. Earthquakes always seem to happen when she is running late. Lives on her own but lives in an apartment close to her father. Her place has plant lady/artist vibes. There is a lot of greenery everywhere. There are plush blankets, an overstuffed sofa, and a fireplace. The walls are covered in her artwork. Additional pieces are at her father’s place as he is super supportive. She also has a telescope. Her apartment has a water-front view as she needed to find someplace calm to live and the water calms her. She enjoys hanging out on her balcony or the roof.
 
Hobbies: painting and astronomy. Painting: she loves doing classical paintings (she does stylized realism where her paintings are super realistic but with a quirk to make them interesting. This quirk is often a splash of color). She loves doing night and space scenes. She really loves painting landscapes at night that include water and a splash of color, like a firework over a lake or other lights reflecting in water. She paints some scenes with people as well. She has done a few portraits for friends but tends to stay away from portraiture. She has a TikTok and YouTube channel where she follows more popular art trends with lots of bright colors. This includes things like acrylic pours and splatter paints. She has about 50K subscribers. She has a presence but not like a million subscribers. Art lets her get some of her chaos out. She is interested in astronomy as well. She tends to stick to the science side, so she can recognize constellations but doesn’t know the myths behind them. She is looking for something greater that might be out there with her astronomy.
 
Human father who raised her is named Joe. Joe and Quinn have a great relationship. He is super supportive and kind. Friends always wanted to stay at Quinn’s place because Joe has positive vibes (non-judgmental, not giving people alcohol). Joe did not tell Quinn much about her mother. He told Quinn her mother was a great woman whose life tragically ended in a car accident when Quinn was a baby. Quinn sees how much talking about her mom upsets Joe, so she stops asking. Joe supports Quinn in whatever career she might want to pursue but wants her to continue painting no matter what. He is a musician, so he understands wanting to have a stable life as would be provided with the sciences but also understands wanting to follow her passion for art. He has moderate local success as a musician, so he is sometimes recognized by strangers in the area but never went on tour or anything. He has dark hair like Quinn, but it is starting to go gray. He is a bit scruffy. He plays acoustic guitar mainly but also plays electric. He writes music on his keyboard. Think Paul McCartney but not famous. DO NOT MESS WITH RELATIONSHIP WITH HER DAD!
 
Best Friend: bubbly, charismatic, driven. She knows what she wants and knows what she is doing. She was valedictorian. She is studying bio-chem. She wants to change the world for the better and believes she can. She was accepted into a research program as a freshman and wants to cure cancer. Think Elle Woods from Legally Blonde (You got into Harvard? What, like it’s hard?)
 
At work she has a generally good relationship with the people there. They like her, but they don’t really hang out outside of work. Gets along very well with super gay guy, Jose, who is a massage therapist at work. All of the middle-aged white ladies try to hit on him. Jose and Quinn laugh about it.
