Session 25: Orzhov Sewers Report

General Summary

After another twenty minutes of drudging through the sewers, the party starts to hear sounds just far enough ahead of people talking to each other at a normal volume.
As they approach, with Eleanor in the lead, she hears the conversation.
"We don't have time, they should have put out the fires by now and the herbs will run out any moment. Get the books on the boat and lets get out of here. Im going to assume that Ma... uhh.. #3 didn't make it, so we have to go."
"We should wait another minute, It took me some time to get away from the mages, he could just be holed up!"
"Nonsense. We knew the magelord could be a player in this, and he was probably caught, we are leaving now."
"Wait..." Says one of the voices, much deeper than the others. "I heard footsteps from... Fuck, they found us!"
Naomi, realizing that she made enough noise for the party to get caught, grants a blessing towards Eleanor, while Ayame rushes forwards with Sebastian to get a good look at the room.
The sewers before her consisted of a 60ft wide, circular stone room, with refuse in numerous piles throughout the floor. there consists four passages just barely tall enough for a person to squeeze through, one of which the party entered from. To their left, the fourth passage has a small boat that has a large number of books loaded in the back, with enough space for about four people to sit inside, tied off to a piton as sewage water flows down a tunnel towards what you think must be the north.
The party sees three people arguing, one of them a brutish looking man towards the south, the person they were following with a bag of equipment to the west, and a younger, unassuming man next to the boat, who looks like they were just yelling at the other two.

Shortly thereafter, combat began. The party started off by attempting to drown one of the men to prevent him from spellcasting, while whittling away at the health of the rogue and the monk. On the 2nd time the wizard escaped drowning in excriment, he managed to escape into the sewers, but not before casting a fireball that killed Ragia Raflesia. Eleanor Primroseflew into a rage and the other two were quickly dispatched, with the thief being captured, and taken above ground, where the party fled to a cleric to bring back their fallen friend.
