Chapter 3: Verse 10: What are you even doing here? Report

General Summary

Upon final descent into Drynna, the party notices a small guarded caravan going near Drynna through a back road. Curious, Bumble steered the ShipFaced lower to see what was going on and noticed that the caravan was transporting a prisoner. But to his surprise, the prisoner was Falan Elwind. The party intercepted this man who seemed to be a masterful wizard specializing in illusions and did battle with him. It was a tough fight but they were able to subdue him and free Falan. The wizard also had a small trove of valuables on them, including a mystical crystal that seems to amplify illusions to becoming tangible. Blovik Griblesnit took this crystal to investigate more.   DM Edit: The crystal is NOT a Vestige of Divergence.   Upon arrival and docking in Drynna, the party parted ways once more with Falan after saving him and he relinquished Amber to another person in the group for safe keeping and care. The group rested in town before setting off to find the lost ruins of the Cobalt Soul archive. When arriving to the location given to them from Keyleth. The group started to investigate the ruins and found upon them some strange engravings along side a keyhole. Bumble searched his pockets and tried his Key of Opening that he found on Zero's body and thus opening the door with a substitute key. The party entered and descended down a flight of stairs that seemed to undamaged and exquisitely decorated with filigree and Cobalt Soul tapestries along the walls.   At the end of the stairway were two giant doors with a similar keyhole which the Key of Opening worked one last time before dissipating into the door itself. A message sprawled across the door in gold lettering reading "Cobalt Soul Restricted Archive. Dangerous knowledge and secrets inside. Security Measure in Place. Proceed with Caution."   The door opened to review another long hallway with another door at the end. Four paintings hung up along the wall depicting different situations or art work. One of the party members touched the first painting in the beginning of the room which was of Percy De Rolo with swirling darkness around him. The party member, disappeared. The rest of the group, surprised by this tried to find other clues or details of the hallway and was only able to detect that the door at the end of the hallway had four opaque crystals that were grey and dull looking surrounding a darkened outline of the Cobalt Soul symbol.   With not much more to go on and worry about their party member they all touched the same painting. They found themselves in a white empty space except for a black humanoid figure with wisps of smoke coming off their body. Upon closer inspection, the individual looks as a younger Percy wearing a doctor mask over his face with his pepperbox pistol in his hands.
