Session 4 Report - Something about a snake

General Summary

Inva is feeling ill, like the beginnings of the flu. He looks like he hasn't slept and has bags under his eyes, pale skin and looks off.   While the party is asleep an assassin attacked Isaris and knocked her unconscious with a fireball in her room. The party fought him and took him captive outside the inn. Rin looted the unconscious body, Tallbert made sure he stayed unconscious, and took his effects before giving him over to the guards. Got:______ Inva, Gromp Gromp and Shuly helped put out the fire in the inn. When the fire was out and things were settling down the party went back to sleep while Inva tracked the assassin's path and found where he landed on the river. In the aftermath of the fight Isaris accidentally touched the stone...   In the morning they interrogated the assassin, he gave them a little info but not much. Told them Red wants to meet them, confirmed Red is RU and that Red is after the stone. They found out the "sanctuary" is far from Watun and Portsnet. Threats were made, and Shuly went to take a crack at the assassin. When they opened the cell he shadow jumped out and took off running. He led the party on a chase and barely managed to slip away. (think LoTR ) He hid and waited for the party to leave.   Gromp Gromp and Shuly together found and earned the aid of a snake in finding the assassin. They got an 8' constrictor snake named branch who helped then sniff out the fresh blood from the assassin. The surrounded him and killed him under a tree. Tallbert got the final blow, severing his femoral artery and watching him bleed out. Inva checked over the body thoroughly before burning it, he got a copy of the brand on the assassins neck. He burned the body and played a victory melody while it burned. He put it out.   Back in Kirkwall the party drank, got some supplies, and found out that remove curse didn't stop the curse but there was a temple to Pelor downriver that may be able to help. Gromp Gromp purchased a whole deer, fed Branch and got a basket for carrying him customized. Rin got info on a ride down river.   The party hitches a ride with Stacy, a human one man crew who travels from portsnet to watun with trade goods bound for the city. She pointed them to 2 taverns, Noamurua's Brewing Bar and The Gnome & Minotaur. Also 2 markets, 1 in the west ward with more fantastic wares, the other in the clear court more marketable prices.   Rin went shopping; restocked his disguise kit, got a pair of sunglasses, info on a tattoo artist, a pouch of seeds, a small wooden figure, and got his things appraised. Inva went shopping; for info on a tattoo artist (was refused and told they don't serve his kind) Gromp Gromp trained branch to "dance" outside the bar since they wouldn't let the snake inside.
