Sitting on the Dock of the Bay
General Summary
Peyton, Kiara, and Derwin are waiting at the docks for Iais and Theta to arrive on the Moldy Crow. The ship is running late and they are directed to visit Home Brew, a local dock-side tavern to wait.
There they meet, Flashfire and Goed, the centaur and half-ogre owners. Flashfire takes a liking to the party, especially Peyton and even agrees to show him a few tricks with his glaive.
As the ship arrives, a group of clerics of Zeboim are attacked by Draconians and Sahuagin who grab an artifact they are transporting, which the heroes later learn is called the Tear of Zeboim, a magical pearl that will be part of a new dock-side shrine to the goddess of the sea.
One draconian gets away with the artifact, though Kiara tries to give pursuit till she loses slight of the draconian in the side streets and alleys of the city. The party, along with the clerics, kill the attackers on the docks with a combination of magic and might.
The party asks the Harbormaster where the Sahuagin and Draconains might hide in the city, and he suggests possibly one of the nearby warehouses, The Tolstoff and House of Three Stars, being two likely candidates.
The heroes make their way to the warehouse district...
