General Summary

Ready to leave this wild magic behind, the group headed out at a brisk pace. Cigfran , however, seemed to have forgotten entirely what their mission was or why they were traveling. Cigfran seemed stuck on the fact he had forgotten, but a solid slap from Roisin Marshfield snapped him out of it and he began moving, initially just moving but eventually settling into a proper routine of wilderness travel. Unfortunately, it was only a few minutes before the party encountered a woman standing in the road. Roy asked the others to talk to her, and she said "Oh come now, dearie, you can all come up and talk to me." Roisin Marshfield asked "Who are you?" as Jeeves slowly approached. "I am Kelitheri" "What are you doing in the middle of nowhere?" "Resting. Don't be shy, come close. I haven't seen anyone in weeks." Jeeves then chimed in. "Wait a minute, you're here too, in the badlands, that is. H..ho..how c...how come?" "Come dearies, come closer, I can't see that far." The woman walked up towards Cigfran . "Well you're a handsome one." then vomited forth a massive cloud of gas that paralyzed Jeeves and harmed Jeeves , Roisin Marshfield, and Cigfran and transformed into a dragon of some sort. Roy , first as usual, fired an ice lance, which did nothing at all. Jeeves , paralyzed, did nothing. Roisin Marshfield cried tears of the pure hearted on Jeeves , which freed him from paralysis and poisoning. The dragon tried to dominate Cigfran , but Roy countered the spell, preventing it from taking effect. Boris then summoned his spiritual weapon, which missed, and he attacked with the warhammer which also missed; he moved away and the dragon swung at him but broker her claw. Roy summoned a ball of lightning, which electrified the dragon, causing it some pain. Roy then backed up, but the creature struck him critically, nearly killing him in one strike, and disrupting his concentration. Jeeves tried to attack with his rapier, nearly fell on his face, but caught himself just in time, and also realized his weapons would have no effect. Roisin Marshfield ordered Jeeves to attack, and he shocked the dragon, then Roisin Marshfield backed away and rallied Jeeves and Roy . The Dragon bit Jeeves , and tried to claw him but missed. Boris Conjured a glowing sunlight lance, then struck with the spiritual weapon, irritating the dragon. Roy launched a larger lightning ball, which slammed and electrocuted the dragon who complained that "That stings" and engaged in a short round of surprisingly childish banter with Roy . Roy also ate a winter grape. Jeeves stepped back then tried to shock it but missed, then stepped back. Roisin Marshfield ordered Roy to attack, and he fired a pair of eldritch blasts which seriously harmed the dragon, then Roisin Marshfield moved back further. The dragon flew up 120 feet then fired a sickening radiance that nearly killed Roy , but Roisin Marshfield's Cry for Life kept him up, although Roisin Marshfield and Jeeves were both exhausted by the terrible draining energy. Boris spoke a healing word to help Roy , then fired a crossbow bolt ineffectively. Roy moved out of the radiance and fired eldritch blasts at the dragon again, striking once and barely holding off a magical backlash on the second. Roy then cast two more blasts thanks to the Winter Grape, dealing even more damaging blasts. Jeeves ran out of the radiance, bound his wounds, and drank a potion to allow him to rest instantly, as gouda cheese rained down over the area. Boris commented it was good it wasn't cheddar as it might have been sharp. Roisin Marshfield ordered Roy to attack again, and he launched two more eldritch blasts striking with both. The Dragon moved the radiance, and cackled "Sicken and die, sicken and die, heeheehee!". Cigfran left the radiance and disappeared into the woods nearby saying "Can't help you". Boris dispelled the terrible radiance, and the dragon said "You're going to pay for that!". Roy fired four more eldritch blasts, two hit for another block of magical damage. Jeeves rushed toward Roy . Roisin Marshfield ordered Roy to attack more, but he missed twice. The Dragon conjured a hypnotic pattern which left both Jeeves and Roy drooling and incapacitated. Boris used a script to extend the range of a spell to call lightning from a cloud 180 feet above, and struck the dragon with a bolt of lightning. Roy and Jeeves continued to drool and stare. Roisin Marshfield moved closer to Jeeves , and the Dragon flew down a bit, launched a fireball at the party, then flew back up, leaving Roy and Jeeves both near death but awake. Boris called forth another bolt of lightning, which struck solidly, and also healed Roy slightly with a word of healing. Roy used a paper cannon to tear into the dragon. He threw a dagger into the air, 480 copies appeared above the dragon and slashed across it, destroying its wings and causing it to fall to the ground where its impact crushed vital internal organs and killed it thoroughly. Roy then used magic to quickly butcher the dragon and recover any useful materials. Jeeves went around healing people immediately. Roisin Marshfield opened her magic purse and transformed into a pot bellied pig which promptly ran away and Cigfran tried to catch her but missed. Boris dispelled the magic and Roisin Marshfield found herself running away but recovered her wits and turned back. Boris took 20 bolts out and the party stored the barrel of Naina parts in the purse. Boris was struck by lightning and his magic recharged and supercharged, but also was partly electrocuted. Roy conjured a Rope Trick as a place to rest, and everyone took an hour to catch their breath. The halfling from before popped a head in and said "Oh, pardon me, I forgot to give you this before." and handed Roy a potion. Roy drank the potion and disappeared. An hour later, after everyone had rested, Roy reappeared well rested and freshly cleaned. The party discussed with Cigfran where to go and he described several options. Boris conjured a chariot of fire with a divine boon, and traveled a bit over 600 miles west through the night. The group rested the night, and the next few days passed completely uneventfully. Roy used Tireless to speed their journey for a few days. Waking from a long rest at the end of that tireless journey, the party was greeted by the infamous clockwork dragon and its gnome master.
