Session 23: Into the Rising Sun Report

General Summary

19th of Rolier 1524 Continues Some of the group had quiet conversation while they headed East. 20th of Rolier 1524 Arriving at the Kostwode forest near 1am, the group finally stops and makes camp. Overnight during Lily's shift some creatures were nearby, but the horses unprotected by the dome did not draw them in. In the morning the group discussed their options. This consisted of them having the following options:

Go back to Poden to help with the witch problem.
Go to the other three cities that had contracted individuals that Reign didn't know.
Go to the Mountain to take on the next challenge in their quest to help Sunnis.

In the end the group asked Simone a question to help them work out if a prophecy was about there being danger there or if it was better to act quickly to avoid having a more difficult task later. Also Karl did some identifying work for the group. Lily shared the prophecies that she had deciphered in town (At end of the report). 8 Nimue: Seek the Counsel of Crystals. There is a young lady looking into a crystal in her hands. It is pink in colour and seems to glow. Anyone looking too closely will see disturbing images in the crystal.
37 Gaia's Dragon: Divine Union. There is a heavily pregnant woman sitting and leaning against a green dragon that that that has a protective wing sheltering her from the rain.
5 Lady Titania: Be Joyful. There is a young lady’s head and shoulders with a moon behind her almost as a halo behind her head. She has a pretty and contagious smile. It is just the shadows on the moon that have you seeing things that give you concern.

Simone's Response: "At this time the Forged are making their decisions and look at false counsel under the assumption it is about them. Balance is required when moving forward to restore it, right now the enemy is off balance but they will find their balance if given time. The path of Anubis is long and dangerous, but only to the unprepared and not because of those without chains." With this advice the group decided to go to Archestuel Mountain. Heading South West, they made their way out of the forest. Halfway through their day they found the main road heading South from Poden. They decided to take lunch there to see if anyone came along. This is when they were ambushed by a group of undead consisting of skeletons, warhouse skeletons, ghouls and a zombie beholder. The group was able to take care of the matter but the cart was damaged as a result. Fargrim helped a family who was killed the previous day by these things with Reign and Simone's support find rest as he did a service for them. Lily, Karl, Lyra and Xeldarix piled up the undead pieces onto the damaged cart and set it on fire before leaving. Simone rode with Karl while Xeldarix walked with Reign who was riding her horse. Nearing the end of how far the horses could travel for the day, the group made camp on top of a cliff that was seperated by a river running below. Karl used his familiar to find out half a day away was a stone bridge they could use to cross. Lily and Xeldarix sparred, revealing that Xeldarix no longer seemed to have the poisonous affect of her weapons. While Fargrim did a check on the group to see how they were going after the fight today. He found that Simone was doing better then the day before but had was still suffering from her withdrawal. After this Lily and Reign worked on decoding more of the book of prophecies (Pictures of at the end of the report). During the night of watches during Lily's shift there was an attack of large birds on the group's horses. Roll for initiative!! Lily:
