Session 42 Report

General Summary

On the way back to the Pampered Traveler from the palace, Xath saw someone he recognized from his past, and decided to pursue. Mogens followed to see if Xath was okay, but was not particularly stealthy and Xath confronted Mogens telling him that they were going to share a drink at the Blue Jack tavern.   Upon reaching the Pampered Traveler, Alicia told the party that she was going to spend the night at her parents' place.   Erik and Goldenfort checked in at Riautar's Weaponry for magic arrows he may have been able to scrounge up.  After purchasing what he had, Erik and Goldenfort shared a drink with the elderly fellow, who then promised a discount on their next purchase. He would keep an eye out for more magic arrows for Erik.   Returning back to the Pampered Traveler, an envoy for Lady Silverhand fetched the party to meet her at the Stone House guildhall to discuss matters of their reward. Lady Silverhand introduced the party to Guildmaster Oakforge and Aven Wanderbrow.  Lady Silverhand tells the party that whatever investment into a building they can put forth, she will match 100% as their reward.  She appoints Aven as the architect they will design with, while Guildmaster Oakforge and his guild will be the laborers to do the work.

• Aven can be found at Castle Waterdeep when they are ready to discuss blueprints. All the players will need to do is ask for him, and he will make time for them.

Back at the Pampered Traveler, the party enjoys their night.  However, Xath does not return. Before anyone retires to their rooms, Goldenfort catches glimpse of Beornegar looking at something. He notices Goldenfort take interest, and quickly tosses it into the fire. Goldenfort fishes it back out. It is a picture of an individual that looks like a pirate with one eye, and red hair. Beonegar says nothing when confronted about the image. Goldenfort recognizes the individual to look like someone who goes by the name "Scrim".   The next morning, Xath still has not returned. Leosin and Elia tell the party the news that Elia has chosen them to accompany her to the Draconic Council at the Star Mountains.  She will offer them to ride on her back, but will leave at dusk whether they are back or not.   A couple from the party attempt to track down Xath by retracing where they last saw him, but seem to meet a dead end when they investigate if anyone around the Golden Horn Gambling House has seen him.  They return back to the Pampered Traveler.   Bookman and Goodman head to Alicia's parent's house to fetch her, but she is torn on whether or not to go with. A chance of a lifetime to attend a Draconic Council, but her father is ill, and would feel guilty if anything happened while she was away.  Bookman diagnoses her father with Sewer Plague, and is able to cure him of his disease. Overwhelmed with gratitude, Alicia's mother attempts to pay them, but is refused. Alicia goes back with them to go with Elia.   Elia leads the party out to the edge of Waterdeep, outside the external battlements. She transforms into a gargantuan silver dragon. The party climbs aboard, and using rope they affix themselves to her back. She dives over the cliff with the party aboard and takes flight, heading North East towards the Star Mountains.
