Session 3: Orion, the Misfortune Bringer Report

General Summary

When the group meets Brand Ordo after their arrival at Port Asinis, his wife Tenya and him inform them of two different leads.   The first is to the northeast, into an icy casm where many researchers and mages have disappeared.   The other is a lead to the remnants of the Blod Nasra, who have captured Orion Stormbringer. Orion is a well know wizard and researcher who has been through the Northlands a hand full of times. Unfortunately this expedition led to him falling into unseemly hands.   The group decided they would check out the encampment where Orion is being held. After splitting up temporarily, Lydia and Xin stealthed over to retrieve Orion, while Biri and Armin distracted the hill giant and goliaths.   After they defeated the hill giant, the last remaining enemy a goliath/half orc surrendered, Zubuktar. Orion helped teleport the group back to the inn, at Port Asinis, where they reated for the night.

Rewards Granted

14 gold and a handful of martial weapons.

Missions/Quests Completed

They retrieved Orion and he told them about a frost giant, Aegir, one of the few remaining of his clan. Orion has met him before and believes he might be able to provide some input as to why the winter in the Northlands has gotten worse and why it has spread to Elleryn.   2 days have passed.
