Session 11: A Magical Discovery Report

General Summary

The group fights off the drow vampires that attack them in the bloody cavern. Afterwards they discover a grate leading further down into a tunnel dug by giant worms. They travel north through the tunnels and take the west tunnel at the second intersection.   At the second intersection, they follow the path forward and into a beholder layer. They sneak past sleeping Formorian guards and use silence to successfully sneak past sleeping humanoid slaves. (Humans, elves, drow, elves and gnomes)   The group sneaks into a room the right and finds a powerful magical artifact within the room. A Maze Engine. Lydia successfully identifies and is able to make an arcana check to repair it. When repairing it, the engine activates and the first effect activated is banishing all creatures back to their plane/realm of origin. Banishing the Beholder that is enslaving the people and Formorians guarding the lair. Lydia then successfully uses the engine 3 more times. The first time it glowed with lights. The second time Lydia used it, granted everyone a +2 bonus to an attribute of their choice and a max 24. The third time she used it to teleport the group 4 levels down through the underdark.   At the end of using the Maze Engine she and her eyes were glowing with golden energy and she was levitating off the ground. The session ends with them farther into the Underdark than they have been before.   1 day has passed

+2 Stat increase/Max of 24 and achieved level 6.

Missions/Quests Completed

The group is now much closer to the Throne and the magical necklace and platinum rod they have humming with power.
