Session 12: Nibbing and Flowing Report
General Summary
March 31, 2022
- We spot a large taloned pawprint in the mud as we continue onward but ultimately decide not to follow the tracks, instead staying the course towards Nib. Along the way we meet Lord Reginald von Huntingstuff and his assistant/partner, Percy. They’re hunting the jabberwock and tells us of other mythical creatures to look out for such as sasquatch, the Jersey Devil, and loch ness monster.
- They tell us their hunters guild headquarters are in Yon, and send us off in the right direction to find Nib before parting ways. We make it to the mountain where we meet Nib, an older man who wears a blindfold to avoid seeing the literal ghosts of his past that haunt him. In return for making the journey to see him he offers each of us an item made from the gold he spins. We all get an item and a new title to match said item.
- After taking a long rest the group departs and heads to find Loomlurch. We come across a campari buttering himself because his goblin ‘friend’ told him to. Unable to convince them that they were just going to be eaten, Hrothran instead gives the goblin a flamin’ hot cheeto, a treat so powerful that if it wasn’t for Jinx casting spare the dying the goblin would be dead. The campari runs away and the goblin is upset that they no longer have a meal.
- We make it to the river and half of the group goes to get our boat while the other half rests due to exhaustion. Savrial, Jinx, and Hrothran end up meeting and dealing with Captain Morgan, who charges them buttons to get our boat back and allow us to sail on the water. Savrial scopes out the Captain’s boat and crew to see how formidable they are.
- Meanwhile Fen, Skipper, and Clyde find a dead body of a pirate floating down the river and, after an amount of shenanigans, give the poor soul a proper funeral pyre down the river.
