The bombastic world traveler Volothamp Geddarmn has come to Waterdeep looking for work and a good topic for his next "epic". In addition to setting up audiences with the local nobility of Waterdeep (whom he knows well), Volo is visiting local taverns to research for his work, and the characters might meet him at some point in the city. The personable Volo is willing to share a rumor or two in exchange for a pint or a good tale.
