Episode 12: Another Evening in Chesterrath Report

General Summary

In the late evening, walking about the southern area of The Village of Chesterrath, the Party searched for Yardith Citherith’s home in hopes of honouring their dinner invitation.
Lunafreya, in search for a place to stay for the evening, reunites with The Party in order to meet with Yardith in hopes of attaining a merchant’s license.
Using the general information provided to them and by Jun’s keen eyes, they find Yardith’s home only to find that it seems he has retired for the evening. Finding his halfling aide, Balashandaar, answering the door, Felix explains that per Elven tradition on this high holiday, that a feast would need to be prepared for the following morning of which the Party would attend.
Suggesting that Lunafreya should return with them to stay at the Abbey of All Gods, The Party returned to the eerily empty stone floors of the Abbey to find rest.
Groft and Shaushka take time to arrange their sleeping area.
Violet goes to find rest and secure at the base of a idol to Istus.
Felix looks for High Priest of Oghma Patrick Abram, only to find his secured grand tome on a dais and no one else to be seen, before joining Violet for quiet meditation towards Istus.
Jun takes Lunafreya on a tour of the Abbey identifying the various deities that the various altars, statues, emblems, etc. As Lunafreya eagerly looks for donation boxes to pay her respects, an ill wind blows through.
Moments later, Groft is relentlessly assaulted by an unseen, antagonistic force. The Party bands together to find and destroy this force, but are unable to as it downs Groft multiple times and then turns its attention on Felix, seemingly in search of something.
Finally, it searches the downed Felix’s pack to find a journal, retrieved from the Necromancer belongings within the Abandoned Church of Lathander near the Hamlet, and then departs.
As the Party take stock of their injuries, they wearily lay down to complete their rest.
