Session 5: Where to now? Report
General Summary
The adventurers decide to head over to the guild after leaving
Emilia Hamilton Farrier's house and see if there's any jobs available to take. A they enter the guild,
Vivian Shatterblade gives them an odd look and as they look around they see the rest of the members of the guild hanging about. They head over to the
Silent Blade Job Board and see two jobs, and after short deliberation they decide to go and give
Gumram Rowlette III a visit as he posted a job to
come to his cave and explore the depths.
Vivian Shatterblade lets them know that
Gumram Rowlette III's cave is just north of town and they set off.
On the way out
Worry Half-Pint stops into
Illuminations and picks up an unbreakable arrow, promising the clerk
Dwynn Glasspurr that he would bring back the 3 GP he owes him as soon as someone can buy a gem off him. As he leaves the shop,
Worry Half-Pint and
Cyrus Akahoshi head out of town (
Cyrus Akahoshi teasing worry over the arrow that he has no bow to shoot) they run into a mother who is posting missing person signs for her son and his two friends, whom have been lost for several weeks. She stops and begs them to let her know if they see any sign of her son,
Munford , or his two friends.
When they arrive at
Gumram Rowlette III's cave, they find a single large open room that has been seperated into sections by furniture and rugs. There's a kitchen area, living area, a play area/bedroom for
Kessi Rowlette, and a bedroom for
Gumram Rowlette III and
Tacomia Rowlette.
Gumram explains that the noises further in the cave have been keeping
Kessi up at night and he would like them taken care of. He offers 300 gp total if they can solve the noise problem.
As the party enters the cave they find it full of twisting tunnels and passageways. As they round one corner, they find a gigantic rat. Pulling their weapons, the party valiantly fights the rat, and with one final slash he dissolves into a pile of tiny rats. The rats quickly surround
Cyrus Akahoshi and
Worry Half-Pint, which while alarming at first, simply turns to weird when they drop to their knees and start bowing repeating "Master, Master, Master" over and over again. This thoroughly spooks
Worry Half-Pint, but
Cyrus Akahoshi simply commands them to go off into the woods which effectively rids them of that problem (for now...).
Continuing into the cave they round some more corners and eventually run into a band of 3 skeletons which ambush the party.
