1.14 Cry Havoc and Let Slip the Dogs of War

General Summary

The chimera proved a powerful foe, downing half of them in a single blast of its dragon fire. With a little luck, a health potion, and a well placed smite, the heroes managed to defeat the beast. They found an ancient obelisk nearby containing ancient draconic symbols refering to the return of dragons, and signs that local kobolds may be using it as a holy place of some kind.   After a rest, the strangers continued their journey towards Sorrowhold. In the early hours of the morning, the heard orcish warhorns sounding through the trees and doubled their pace. They arrived to a settlement beseiged by Grujell's army, and prepared themselves for the fight to come. Together, they rushed to the defenders aid, a mere dozen against over 100 warriors. Each of them called upon the aid of their benefactors. Jorn prayed to Hoar, the god of Vengeance. Jacob beseeched the blessing of his devil mistress, and Cyril reached out to the very power of nature itself.    With the power of Hoar beside him, Jorn smote his orcish enemies with fearsome power. The skies opened as lightning streaked down from the heavens and a portal to hell appeared overhead as devils streamed through and attacked the orcish army, a gift from the arch succubus herself. Kravek himself, saw only Grujell, and yearned to achieve his vengeance that was so long coming. He tore through hoards of orcs as the defenders on top the walls tried desperately to drive them back.
