Session 3 5/25/2019: Into the Onyx Obelisk Report

General Summary

Usually the labor of differing the trench around the base of the Obelisk is done at night, so that the slaves don’t suffer heat stroke. During the day they are forced back onto the island that has some camel hides up for shade. The slaves sleep on the island during the day and the monks usually retreat into the obelisk but seem to be keeping watch from the opening at all times. The pit surrounding the island seems to have something/a creature down there. In the 24 hours waiting for Royce, you’ve seen the guards/monks pour seemingly food/water into the pit. During the day the make shift wooden plank bridge is withdrawn so that the slaves can not leave the island. It does seem the slaves are feed & watered adequately. The opening in the obelisk, along with natural features make the way the guards watch over the island have a limited view to their west. This has been where you’ve been able to lay low and the direction you told Royce to come from. The guards ascend into the Obelisk via ropes that the Thri-Kreen/or other guards seem to let down or them so they can retreat into the water/plant filled, shady room during the daytime. Soren (2nd Brandon's character) & Mayoka (played by Wiley) take the slaves back and Mahlmet (the jackalwere being held at Kashral Oasis) is released back into your care. There was one Thri-Kreen left alive/didn’t resist up top named Siskas. All the monks in the “Order of the Obsidian Eye” are knocked out or deceased. The two leaders of the OotOE Mio & Harbinger are both dead. Mahlmet, the last surviving Jackalwere of the three that attacked The Kashral Oasis is still buried up to his neck as far as you guys know under Samuul’s guard. The Black Obelisk has been searched internally except for the basement. The lowest level had a destroyed Construct in the small room of rune encrusted walls and a door. Jazeela is with you and is willing to translate the runes to find out how to open the last locked door. Mayoka & Soren Trueguard are at your disposal as well and offer to guide the 11 slaves back to the Kashral Oasis to find transport back to their families/home towns.
